Harmony Garden

About this place

Discover peace among manicured lawns and scented borders with views across Melrose Abbey

  • Escape from everyday life in this peaceful and beautiful garden.
  • Visit in early spring and you will be treated to an outstanding display on our historic bulb lawn, considered one of the oldest in Scotland.
  • Admire panoramic views of Melrose Abbey and the Eildon Hills.
  • The azalea and rhododendron beds provide a vibrant display of colour in May/late spring.
  • Stroll around 3 acres of manicured lawns and scented borders.

As its name suggests, at Harmony Garden, nature is perfectly in tune. Step out of everyday life and into a place that's more colourful, relaxing, and balanced.

Manicured lawns, scented borders and fruit and vegetable beds spread out from a beautifully proportioned Georgian manor house – available as holiday accommodation.

The garden is also an excellent viewing point, offering views of the majestic ruins of Melrose Abbey and the nearby Eildon Hills.

Harmony hosts the Borders Book Festival in June every year, attracting some of the brightest stars in contemporary literature and current affairs.
