I have a question about my membership, who can I speak to?

Our Supporter Care team are available by phone Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm on 0131 385 7490 to answer your membership and donation enquiries. For all other enquiries, please use our our Contact Us form.

I cancelled my membership during the lockdown period, but now I’d like to rejoin.

Do I need to book in advance to visit National Trust for Scotland places?

Some of our places are currently operating an advance booking system for all visitors. This is to limit the numbers of visitors arriving at a property at any one time so that we avoid overcrowding and ensure physical distancing. Please visit the individual property page to check if you need to book your time slot.

When will my new car parking sticker arrive?

Members will receive their new car parking stickers in March, when the spring members’ magazine and Guide are sent out to all our members.

What does membership give me access to?

With a National Trust for Scotland membership you have unlimited access to all the places in our care. You can also use your membership to explore places in the care of the National Trust in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as other National Trust organisations around the world. Some restrictions do apply, so please check with the specific place before visiting to avoid disappointment. Learn more about what you can explore with your membership.

Can I use my membership to access National Trust places in England, Wales and Northern Ireland?

Yes! With a National Trust for Scotland membership you can also use your membership to explore places in the care of the National Trust in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Some restrictions do apply, so please check with the specific place before visiting to avoid disappointment.

How do National Trust for Scotland members park at National Trust properties with parking charges?

In all instances where parking barriers are enforced, these will be manned and you can show your membership card. While you won’t be able to scan your card in the NT ticket machines, you’ll still be able to park for free as long as you have your valid car parking sticker displayed on your vehicle. We’re currently working with the National Trust on a more permanent solution and we’ll update all our members once we have this finalised.

If I’m a member, can I visit Trust places without my membership card?

You may be asked to pay an admission fee if you visit without your membership card. Please remember to bring your membership card or temporary membership card with you every time you visit.

What concessions are available to non-member visitors?

Concessions apply to: children of 18 and under, accompanied by an adult; senior citizens; NUS students; Young Scot/Euro 26 card holders; and unemployed people.
