The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA

The National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA (NTSUSA) is an independent, non-profit organisation that enables Americans who love Scotland to support the National Trust for Scotland’s conservation mission while receiving valuable tax benefits.

NTSUSA members live in all 50 states and – whether Scottish by birth, ancestry or inclination – are united by a commitment to protecting Scotland’s heritage and natural beauty, now and for generations to come.

Since 2000, NTSUSA has granted more than $11 million to the National Trust for Scotland. Among the critical projects that NTSUSA members have recently supported are:

  • The acquisition of the Treshnish Isles and Mackintosh at the Willow
  • The purchase of livestock for conservation grazing at Culloden Battlefield
  • The construction of a turf house at Glencoe
  • Ongoing conservation of Culzean Castle’s walled garden, outbuildings, and fountain

NTSUSA offers tax-deductible memberships with benefits including:

  • free entry to all National Trust for Scotland properties
  • free parking in National Trust for Scotland car parks
  • worldwide access to places in the care of International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) member organizations
  • a subscription to the Trust’s members’ magazine
  • a copy of the Members’ Guide to National Trust for Scotland places.

In addition, NTSUSA members maintain an authentic and meaningful connection to Scotland from abroad with invitations to special lectures and events across the US.
