Weddings

From fairytale castles to country retreats, mountain glens to internationally acclaimed gardens – we have a place you can call your own.

One of the great advantages of getting married in Scotland is that you can hold your wedding almost anywhere, since the minister, priest or celebrant carries the licence.

Ceremony

For traditional weddings, choose from our spectacular collection of grand castles, royal hunting lodges and beautiful stately homes. Several have their own chapel, while all offer a variety of stylish settings in which to make your vows.

In good weather, you can choose your perfect romantic spot in our internationally acclaimed gardens and wild landscapes at dozens of our unique places.

If you’re thinking about something more unusual, take a look at the beautiful waterfall at the heart of the woodland in The Hermitage in Perthshire, or the Garden of Historic Roses at Drum Castle in Royal Deeside, or the medieval Brig o’ Doon in Alloway, birthplace of Robert Burns.

Many of our venues can accommodate wedding receptions inside the main historic building, with the option to host larger marquee celebrations in the grounds.

With manicured lawns, vibrant borders, charming follies and beautiful lochs, our gardens and estates are perfect for wedding photography. Don’t worry if the weather is unkind on your wedding day, our grand interiors provide an impressive wet weather contingency.
