Our people

Beautiful places only stay beautiful because of the hard work of thousands of dedicated people.

The Trust is its people – over 300,000 members are directly represented on our Board of Trustees and nearly 4,000 volunteers do everything from guiding visitors to tending gardens and building upland footpaths.

Our expert staff make sure that all visitors can expect a fascinating experience and that the highest standards of conservation are applied.
