Falls of Glomach

A breathtaking Highland waterfall cuts through Scotland’s wildest countryside

Things to do

National Trust for Scotland rangers offer a guided walk to see the falls – please telephone for more details.

Look out for wildlife including golden eagles, golden plover, herds of red deer and wild goats.

Enjoy the challenging walk to one of the country’s finest waterfalls, in one of the remotest and least spoilt areas of the Highlands.

Experienced hikers might want to try the route along Glen Elchaig, a 14-mile round hike taking approximately 8 hours. Leave the car at the Ling Bridge by Loch Long. This can be shortened by using a bike for part of the way. Beware – the path from Glen Elchaig to the falls is precarious.
