Arduaine Garden

Bold colours and fragrant scents bring an exotic touch to this Argyll coastal garden

Things to do

Guided tours are available but must be booked in advance – please call the garden for more information.

Arduaine is a haven for wildlife, so look out for red squirrels, kestrels and badgers; out to sea you may spot seals and porpoises.

You can take a gentle stroll around the lower level of the garden or head out through the woodland garden to the coastal viewpoint, which offers spectacular views over the islands. These walks range in length between 15 minutes to around 1 hour, depending on how much of the garden you want to see. If you wish to see the whole garden, we recommend allowing 2½ hours for your visit.

Arduaine will surprise and delight all year round. The rhododendrons attract enthusiasts from far and wide, and the azaleas, magnolias and many other shrubs and trees fill the garden with scent and colour. In autumn, the larch canopy sheltering the woodland garden turns a beautiful soft yellow, the azalea foliage is flaming and the perennials are dazzling.

Arduaine Garden is available to hire for private events – please call the garden for more information.
