Hill of Tarvit Mansion & Garden

Edwardian splendour within easy reach of St Andrews
Hill of Tarvit Mansion on a bright sunny day
Photographer: Ross Barber

One of the finest Edwardian mansion houses in Scotland, Hill of Tarvit nestles in the Fife countryside, within easy reach of Edinburgh, Dundee and Perth.

Designed by Sir Robert Lorimer to showcase F B Sharp’s famous collection of art and antiques – including exquisite French and Chippendale-style furniture, and masterpieces by Raeburn and Ramsay – Hill of Tarvit Mansion is a wonderful setting for weddings, corporate events and private parties.

Framed by 110 hectares of Lorimer-designed gardens and parkland, the opportunities for marquees, wedding photography and outdoor activities are limitless. An additional attraction is the estate’s 9-hole hickory golf course, where novices, amateurs and professionals are invited to step back in time and enjoy a round of golf as it was played over 100 years ago, with traditional clubs, bags, tees and balls.
