Weaver’s Cottage

Atmospheric cottage and hands-on museum where the traditional weaver’s craft comes to life

Planning your visit

Our shop is one of the few places in Scotland which sells items completely handwoven on a traditional handloom. Cushions, honey, preserves and other cottage-related products are also available.

Dogs on a lead are welcome in the garden.

Parking is available on the street beside the cottage, and a free public car park is situated 100m from the cottage.

For more information about planning your visit please see our frequently asked questions.

If you’d like to speak to us we can be contacted by email: or telephone: 01505 705588.

  • Parking is available on the street beside the cottage.
  • Access to and around the cottage is difficult, with two steps into the cottage, uneven floors, winding stairs and low ceilings.
  • There’s an uneven, sloping garden with narrow gravel paths.
  • A subtitled audiovisual programme is available.

We have an ongoing programme of accessible content development. Detailed accessibility guides for the most visited Trust places are available on our Accessibility pages as well as links to useful resources.

We’d love you to visit the Euan’s Guide website to review the accessibility of Trust places and tell us (and others) what is good and where we need to do better.
