    This beautiful Georgian family house was completed by William Adam in 1730 for David Erskine, the 13th Laird of Dun, and is surrounded by fabulous Victorian gardens overlooking the Montrose Basin. The estate comprises Lady Augusta’s Walk, an adventure playground, a Victorian walled garden, terraced gardens, a woodland walk (great for dogs) and farmland.

    House: 29 Jun to 30 Aug, daily 11-5; 2 Sep to 31 Oct, Wed–Sun 12-5. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
    Now closed for the season, re-opening on 1 April 2010.

    Garden and Estate: all year, daily 9am – sunset.

    Café Dun, Angus Handloom Weavers, Angus Crafts Association and Farrago are open every weekedn until 31 December 2009, from 11 - 4.

    Visitors are guided through the first two rooms and then invited to enjoy the remainder of the house at their leisure, guides on each floor will assist where required (last admission 45 mins before closing).
