Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face, Great chieftain o’ the puddin’-race!’ [‘Address to a Haggis’, 1787]

Our café sells freshly made hot food, snacks, soup and delicious home baking. The café can be found in the main museum building.

Start the day with a bacon roll and coffee (served until 12 noon) or treat yourself to one of our freshly baked signature scones or piece of home baking, baked on site and available throughout the day. We always include gluten-free choices.

You can order hot food between 12–3pm. Hot specials are served in the café between 12–2pm, with a daily changing menu. We usually have a haggis dish for you to try!

We also have a range of snacks and soup available throughout the day, as well as choices for our younger visitors.

We pride ourselves on our relationship with local suppliers, offering the best of Ayrshire produce where possible.

We’re a breastfeeding-friendly property, and have outside tables adjacent to our play area.

On a sunny day you can sit outside and enjoy the garden. Dogs are welcome in the garden on a lead, so your four-legged friends can join you for a coffee break, or you can pop in for a cup of tea and treat yourself after your daily walk.

We welcome catering for groups, offering morning coffee with shortbread or breakfast rolls; soups and sandwiches; hot meals; and afternoon and high teas.
