Linn of Tummel

Charming riverside walk in the heart of Big Tree Country

Things to do

Nature spotting

Keep an eye out and a camera ready for glimpses of red squirrels, otters, kingfishers or pine martens.

Don’t miss the Edwardian fish ladder, created in 1910 to allow salmon to jump upstream.

Our 3-mile circular path makes the most of the vistas. Walk across the suspension bridge over the Tummel, then take in the excellent views of Killiecrankie from the Garry Bridge – or step below and watch the brave people bungee from the bridge.

Admire the obelisk, which commemorates a visit by Queen Victoria in 1844.

If you’d like to explore further, our circular walk links in with several others on the Pitlochry Paths Network.
