Fyvie Castle, Garden & Estate

An imposing 800-year-old fortress, with Raeburn portraits on the walls and wildfowl in its loch

Things to do

Guided tours

Entry to the castle is by guided tour.

Guided tours take place every hour when the castle’s open, starting at 11.15am.

Children’s activities

There’s a children’s quiz available for the castle.

Nature spotting

Fyvie Loch supports large numbers of wildfowl. Swans, coots, mallards and moorhens are joined in the winter by greylag geese, tufted ducks and goldeneyes. Ospreys occasionally visit to fish in the loch.

Outdoor activities

In the grounds there’s a pretty walled garden, a lochside walk and extensive parkland.

The castle is available to hire for weddings and other functions – please see our venue hire pages for more information.
