How do I get a voucher?

You will be sent a voucher in the month that your membership renewal is due. Your voucher will arrive by post, together with your renewal letter.

Where can I use the voucher?

The voucher is redeemable at National Trust for Scotland properties only.

The voucher excludes entry to the National Museum of Rural Life, and Guardianship Properties (listed on page 119 of the 2023 Members’ Guide).

My membership has expired – can I use a voucher?

Vouchers can only be redeemed alongside a valid membership card. If you wish to use your voucher, please contact our Supporter Care team to reinstate your membership by calling 0131 385 7490 or using the contact form on our website.

I’ve lost my voucher – can I get another one?

Why do you ask for my membership number on the voucher?

This allows us to understand how effective these promotions have been and to develop more valuable member benefits in the future.

Terms and Conditions

  1. By using the voucher, you will be deemed to have read and accepted all the Terms and Conditions. Failure to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions will disqualify you from taking part in the offer.
  2. The voucher is valid for 6 months. It cannot be redeemed after this time.
  3. The voucher is valid for one free visit. No alternatives will be offered. The voucher is non-transferable and non-exchangeable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  4. The free visit recipient must be accompanied by a National Trust for Scotland member. A valid membership card must be presented alongside the voucher. Memberships that have lapsed or have not been renewed are not valid.
  5. One voucher may be used per membership.
  6. The voucher is redeemable at National Trust for Scotland properties only and excludes the National Museum of Rural Life and Guardianship Properties, listed on page 119 of the 2023 Members’ Guide.
  7. The voucher must be filled in by both the member and the free visit recipient in order to be used. The Member must provide their membership number. There is also an optional section for the Member and guest to sign up to our emails, which can be opted out of at any time.
  8. The National Trust for Scotland reserves the right to refuse the use of the voucher if it has a reasonable belief that these terms have been breached in any way.
  9. The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  10. The physical voucher must be presented. Pictures or photocopies will not be accepted.
  11. The voucher excludes any reciprocal entry rights with other international National Trust organisations worldwide.
  12. Entry to National Trust for Scotland properties is during ordinary opening hours only.
  13. Entry to National Trust for Scotland places is subject to any terms and conditions of entry applicable to each place.
  14. The voucher is valid for admission only and is not valid for events.
