Tower house and estate | near Banchory | C14th | AB31 5EY

Built as a 14th-century tower house, the castle has had multiple extensions over the years and now comprises an eclectic mix of a medieval tower, Jacobean mansion and multiple Victorian additions. Highlights include a huge Victorian library, medieval High Hall, Gallery corridor, wood-panelled ceilings and an external courtyard.
