Weddings

With its rolling hills, romantic abbeys and meandering rivers, the countryside of the Scottish Borders makes a fabulous backdrop for a wedding.

The small town of Melrose perfectly encapsulates the unspoilt beauty of this region. Nestled at its heart is a gem of a Georgian house in the shape of Harmony. Built in 1807 by Robert Waugh, an acquaintance of Sir Walter Scott, Harmony blends tranquillity and elegance with a luxurious level of comfort for you and your guests to enjoy.

Small wedding ceremonies can be held in the opulent Drawing Room, followed by an informal buffet reception in the Library and Dining Room.

Alternatively, imagine a marquee set in the delightful walled garden, allowing you to wander at will around flower borders brimming with colour and fragrance. Relax in this secluded haven as you sip champagne and soak up the views of Melrose Abbey and the Eildon Hills.

Whether you’re planning an intimate, informal wedding or a celebration on a more lavish scale, Harmony is the perfect setting for a joy-filled occasion. With exclusive use of the house, you can be assured of memories to treasure for a lifetime.
