Here is some information about our ROOTS subscriptions.
We’re winding down ROOTS
After four years, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down ROOTS over the coming months. If you pay by Direct Debit, your subscription will end in February 2026. If you’ve purchased a year-long subscription, it will run until the end of your current term.
Why is this happening?
Over the past 18 months, supplier costs have risen significantly. As a result, less of your contribution has been going directly to the gardens – something we feel isn’t fair to you or the places we care for.
We’re incredibly grateful for your support through ROOTS. Thanks to you, we’ve been able to care for the 38 gardens and designed landscapes in our care. Your commitment has helped to protect and celebrate Scotland’s rich horticultural heritage.
Keep growing with us
Although ROOTS is coming to an end, your support can continue. The best way to carry on helping Scotland’s gardens – and the dedicated team who look after them – is by switching to a monthly Direct Debit donation to our Special Places fund. It’s simple, secure and allows us to plan ahead with confidence, investing in the long-term care and conservation of our gardens.
