The Annual General Meeting for our members takes place in Inverness this year.

Join us at the Eden Court Theatre on Friday 19 September.

Our AGM is a chance for National Trust for Scotland members to hear first-hand about all the work that their support has made possible in the past year.

Across the Highlands and Islands, this has included repairs to the historic St Kilda kirk, exciting archaeological digs at Culloden to reveal untold stories of the battle, and intrepid work to remove invasive plant species from the steep cliffs of Corrieshalloch Gorge.

The programme will feature presentations on key conservation projects achieved over the past year, with a special focus on the restoration and re-opening of Canna House. Acclaimed Gaelic musicians Pàdruig Morrison and Claire Frances MacNeil will perform original music inspired by the unique collection gathered by scholars John Lorne Campbell and Margaret Fay Shaw, who lived at Canna House.

National Trust for Scotland President Jackie Bird will be joined by our new Chair Dame Sue Bruce, Chief Executive Phil Long and other key charity staff to showcase all our achievements for 2024–25.

Jackie Bird said: ‘The National Trust for Scotland has had a great year, and I’ve been pleased to be part of it. Whether it’s spending time at properties with the teams there, learning about the history of the special places in our care or engaging with our dedicated donors and supporters, I am always inspired by the work this conservation charity does to care for and share Scotland’s special places.’

Jackie continued: ‘The 2025 meeting takes place on Friday 19 September at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. This will be your chance to meet the charity’s new Chair and hear about the huge range of projects to protect Scotland's nature, beauty and heritage. It also give us the chance to say thank you for your support. I look forward to seeing you there.’
