We’re serving up locally made ice cream at some of our most iconic places, so whether you like yours in a cone or cup, there’s a scoop awaiting you at many of our places.

Where to find some of your favourite flavours:

North East

Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate

Café 1702 at Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate has something for everyone: home-baked treats, hot drinks, and Mackie's ice cream. There’s even doggy ice cream for four-legged visitors, plus indoor and outdoor seating and a play area for the kids.

Haddo House

Wander the terrace garden with an ice cream in hand, then explore the fascinating story of the Gordon family who lived at Haddo House for more than 400 years. A sweet treat with a side of history.

South & West

Brodick Castle, Garden & Country Park

At Brodick Castle, Garden & Country Park, you can enjoy Arran Dairies soft-serve ice cream from the play park kiosk and a range of ice creams from the main café.

Culzean Castle & Country Park

Enjoy a scoop by the sea! Mackie’s ice cream is available at the Aviary Ice Cream Parlour at Culzean Castle & Country Park. When the Aviary is closed, mini tubs can be purchased from the Swan Pond Café and Home Farm Kitchen.

Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

Sit in the garden or play park with an ice cream and soak up some sun. Dogs are welcome on leads, and there’s also a great café at Robert Burns Birthplace Museum to stop for a post-walk treat.

Holmwood

The café, located in the old kitchen of the house, offers soup and hot and cold drinks. A variety of treats, including sweets, ice cream, and snacks, are also available, and a selection of gluten-free options is available.

They’re proud to be a dog-friendly café, so you can bring your furry friend. If you’re out for a long walk with your dog in Linn Park, the Holmwood café is where to stop and unwind with a cuppa and a puppuccino!

Edinburgh & East

Gladstone’s Land

Our 17th-century townhouse boasts a charming ground-floor ice cream parlour inspired by the refreshment rooms of old. Try our exclusive elderflower and lemon curd flavour, the perfect pick-me-up during the busy Edinburgh Festival.

Steeped in history, the ice cream parlour at Gladstone’s Land is the perfect place to relax after a visit to the house upstairs, catch up with friends, or pop in for an afternoon treat.

They also offer sundaes, delicious cakes, and hot drinks, which you can enjoy either sitting in or taking away.

Newhailes House & Gardens

The recently renovated Dairy at Newhailes House & Gardens has been transformed into a traditional sweet shop and ice cream parlour, right beside Weehailes Playpark. Pop in for a cone or stay for a hearty lunch in the Stables Café.

Highlands & Islands

Brodie Castle & Estate

The Playful Café at Brodie Castle & Estate serves hot and cold refreshments, a selection of baked goods, soup, sandwiches, and ice cream. After exploring the castle, estate or playing in the Playful Garden, treat yourself to an ice cream.

Glenfinnan Monument

Refuel at Glenfinnan‘s Viaduct View Café (spring to autumn) for takeaway treats, including the tastiest chips around, decadent burgers and artisan hot dogs. You can also enjoy sweet treats like waffles, sundaes and ice cream!

Inverwewe

Osgood's Cafe is a great place to stop when travelling along the NC500 route. The menu of freshly prepared hot and cold food changes daily and features the very best locally sourced ingredients.
