Christmas gifts from Scotland

Written by James Walsh
Three sporran-shaped handbags hang from a banister post by some carpeted stairs. The bags have a tartan body with leather tassels and strap.
Our sporran bags are handmade from Harris Tweed and deerskin leather, making the ultimate luxury gift.
Our online shop is brimming with beautiful Christmas gift ideas, with exclusive products and collections inspired by Scotland’s history and crafted by Scottish makers.

Gifts for her

It’s the season to wrap up warm, and we’ve got a fantastic selection of knitwear in our collections, designed by Scottish makers, to help you keep cosy. We’ve also got some great ideas for stocking fillers and little-extra-somethings …

  • Mix and match cosy lambswool mittens, berets and scarves designed in the Highlands by the award-winning Green Grove Weavers. They’re made on traditional looms and come in all kinds of vibrant colours and patterns, to help you brighten things up.
  • Don’t miss our exclusive collection of 100% silk scarves (can you ever have too many scarves?). Each design is inspired by a different place, such as the Glencoe mountains, and the whole range is currently on special offer.
  • And why not add an extra little present to the pile? We love our ladies’ socks and luxurious soaps!
A bottle of whisky stands in its display box on a polished table. Beside it is a glass decanter, half filled with whisky, and two whisky glasses, also with a shot each inside. Old library shelves can be seen in the background.
The bottle features a design inspired by the Battle of Culloden.

Gifts for him

Who doesn’t like being royally spoiled at Christmas? We’ve got lots of great gift ideas for men, from exclusive whiskies to super-soft scarves.

This beautiful range of silver jewellery allows you to carry a piece of Scotland with you wherever you go.

Brought to you by local makers

As you might have seen in our recent ‘Meet the Makers’ series, we’re passionate about supporting Scottish makers. The different collections we’ve commissioned for the Trust celebrate Scotland’s history, heritage and craft traditions.

  • The Culloden Heather jewellery range is made by Botanic Isles, who specialise in creating stunning pieces using hand-picked Scottish flowers. Each item in the collection uses heather picked from Culloden Moor and would make a special gift for fans of Outlander or anyone looking to carry a piece of history with them.
  • The Harris Tweed sporran bags are handcrafted by Barrhead Leather Company, who specialise in making bags using Scottish deerskin leather. They’re a fun twist on the classic handbag shape, and come in a variety of traditional tartans, including this Hunting Macleod design.
  • What’s Christmas without chocolate?! This year, upgrade your cocoa game and swap the gold coins for a bar of Coco chocolate, made in Edinburgh using single origin chocolate from Colombia. With packaging designed by independent artists, this isn’t your average treat.
