2017 is all about the outdoors at Brodick Castle, Garden & Country Park.

Arran is often described as ‘Scotland in miniature’, because it contains all the nation’s best features wrapped up in one island-sized package.

So, it’s not surprising that in many ways Brodick Castle, Garden & Country Park could be the Trust in miniature. You’ll find historic buildings, beautiful collections, gardens, mountains, landscapes and wildlife all in this one place.

We want more and more people to come to Brodick to experience this microcosm of the best of Scotland’s heritage. 2017 is the start of it all, as our charity invests more than £2 million in this amazing place.

The funding will allow vital work to go ahead to protect the collection, now officially recognised as one of Scotland’s best. While this means that the castle will be closed for 2017, there will still be plenty to enjoy out in the estate, with exciting new trails and interactive features, showcasing the island’s natural beauty.

One of the most hotly anticipated developments is the creation of a fantastic new adventure play area – Isle be Wild – which takes its inspiration from Arran’s rich natural heritage. Younger visitors are going to love it.

It could be time to start planning your visit.
