From the castle to adventure play parks and the beach to deer and llamas – spend the day at Culzean, entertain the whole family and tire out little and not so little legs.

Arrival – Adventure Cove and Wild Woodland

Wooden adventure play park

Culzean boasts two amazing adventure playgrounds for kids of all ages – what better way to stretch your legs when you first arrive?

Little ones can unleash their inner adventurer as they make their way around Adventure Cove – a smuggler’s wonderland with sandpits, rope swings, a pirate ship and wooden castle walls. Older children will love exploring the thrilling tree-top Wild Woodland, with soaring towers, treehouses, slides, climbing walls, a maze house and zip slides.

Mid-morning – Swan Pond

After all that running about at Adventure Cove and Wild Woodland, stop at the Aviary and the Swan Pond Ice Cream Parlour and grab some coffee and a locally made ice cream to take on a walk around the Swan Pond.

Lunchtime – picnic at the beach

Where better to have a picnic than at our beautiful beach? There’s plenty of golden sand to build a miniature Culzean Castle! The rockpools are teaming with critters, from scuttling crabs to dinky starfish. Keep an eye on the tides and remember – take a look, then put it back. The best rockpoolers leave no trace.

An afternoon in the castle

Explore our fabulous 18th-century castle – filled to the turrets with treasures.

Children will love the Lego character hunt! Find the figures hidden in each room throughout the castle and mark them off on a tick sheet.

Afternoon treats

Head to Home Farm Kitchen for an afternoon treat – we have a delicious range of baking and ice creams. With both indoor and outdoor seating as well as family-friendly facilities, it’s an ideal stop on any visit to Culzean.

A deer goodbye

Finally, before heading home say hello to our red deer in the Deer Park. It’s also a great place to spot a llama or two.
