Structure

The National Trust for Scotland’s operational management is provided by the Leadership Team.

The Leadership Team consists of the Chief Executive, the Director of Audiences & Support, the Director of Commercial Enterprises, the Director of Conservation & Policy, the Chief Financial and Corporate Officer, the Director of Legal and Governance, the People Director, the Director of Public Engagement & Research, four Regional Directors covering the Trust’s operational regions, and the Head of Mar Lodge Estate.

Overall Leadership

As Chief Executive, Philip Long is accountable to the Board of Trustees for all aspects of the charity’s work and its overall strategic direction.

Commercial Services comprise the national commercial teams across Food & Beverage, Retail, Holidays, Travel Trade and Hospitality, which operate within NTSE Ltd, the fully owned trading subsidiary of the Trust.

Conservation & Policy provides central technical leadership and oversight. It is responsible for external accreditation and advice, performance benchmarking and statutory compliance. It leads on developing conservation and management policies and acting as an advocate and influencer for conservation with national policymakers and other stakeholders.
