The National Trust for Scotland’s operational management is provided by the Leadership Team.

The Leadership Team comprises the Chief Executive, the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Customer & Cause, the Director of Heritage Properties, the People Director, the Head of Conservation & Policy, the Head of Heritage & Consultancy Services, four General Managers covering the Trust’s operational regions and the Operations Manager of Mar Lodge Estate.

Conservation & Policy provides central technical leadership and oversight. It is responsible for external accreditation and advice, performance benchmarking and statutory compliance. It leads on developing conservation and management policies and acting as an advocate and influencer for conservation with national policymakers and other stakeholders.

Corporate Services provides a wide range of central business services across the Trust, including IT, finance, legal services and governance. It is also responsible for oversight of the Trust’s commercial enterprises (such as retail, food and beverage, and holiday cottages) as well as National Trust for Scotland Enterprises Ltd.
