Hebridean island with dramatic rock formations | Near Mull, Inner Hebrides

Dramatic basalt rock columns rising from the sea make this wee island incredibly photogenic. Rugged and indented coastline, with many rocky outcrops and sea caves. The most impressive is Fingal’s Cave: 75m deep with an arched entrance and known for its natural acoustics. High-level walkway allows access into the cave. This walkway is undergoing intermittent work so please contact Filming Manager in advance of filming to discuss status. Please note drone filming is not permitted on Staffa between 1 April and 31 July, to prevent disturbance to breeding seabirds.

The island is 6 miles west of Mull; local operators are available to charter a private boat. Landing on the island is weather dependent, so please incorporate into any filming plans.
