Spring with the Trust

A young Soay lamb lies in a field. It has a brown shaggy fleece.

Enjoy the signs of spring as you explore nature trails, admire bursts of spring colour, and more!

Spring walks

This is a magical time to visit your favourite Trust places, as our coasts, islands, mountains and moorlands all spring back to life, and many of our buildings and gardens reopen after the winter.

Little buds of colour are popping up in gardens across Scotland, and some of our favourite birds start to return, building nests and filling the air with their beautiful song. And spotting baby animals as you stroll always brings an extra-special element to a family walk!

Many Trust places have courtyard cafés, where you can dine al fresco again. Take a seat at a table surrounded by blooming flowers and ancient stone walls, and soak in the sights and sounds of spring as you enjoy your meal, hot drink or tasty home baking in the fresh air.

Blossom

Every year our gardens burst into life with the arrival of the spring blossom.

The dainty flowers, bright colours and heady scents are one of nature’s most dazzling displays.
