The oldest intact building in the care of the National Trust for Scotland, Drum Castle was, from 1323 to 1975, the home of the Irvine family. Situated in the world famous castle country of Northeast Scotland and standing at the gates to Royal Deeside on a ridge overlooking the River Dee 10 miles from the heart of the granite city, Aberdeen.
Castle: 1 May to 30 June, daily (not Tues or Fri), 11.30-5; 1 July to 31 Aug, daily 11.30-5; 1 to 30 Sept, daily (not Tues or Fri), 11.30-5.
Last admission 45 mins before closing.
Garden of Historic Roses: 10 Apr to 31 Oct, daily 10–6.
Grounds: all year, daily.
1st July - 31st August, 11.30am - 5pm daily, open guided. Last admission is 4.15pm.
