One of the finest Edwardian mansionhouses in Scotland, Hill of Tarvit Mansion nestles in the Fife countryside, 12 miles west of St Andrews and within easy reach of Dundee, Edinburgh and Perth.

Designed by Sir Robert Lorimer to showcase F B Sharp’s famous collection of art and antiques – including exquisite French and Chippendale-style furniture, and masterpieces by Raeburn and Ramsay - Hill of Tarvit Mansion is today a wonderful setting for weddings, corporate events and private parties.

Framed by 110 hectares of Lorimer-designed gardens, parkland and open heath, the opportunities for marquees, wedding photography and outdoor activities are limitless. An additional attraction for wedding parties and corporate guests alike is the estate’s 9-hole hickory golf course, where novices, amateurs and professionals are invited to step back in time and enjoy a round of golf as it was played over 100 years ago, with traditional clubs, bags, tees and balls.

Weddings at Hill of Tarvit Mansion

Adorned with 16th-century Flemish tapestries, warm oak panelling and intricate carvings, the Great Hall is an impressive setting for intimate civil, religious and humanist ceremonies.

Throughout spring and summer, guests can stroll out through the open French windows, champagne flute in hand, on to the terrace with its sweeping stone staircase and uninterrupted views across the rolling Fife hills, before being seated to dinner.

The Lorimer-designed gardens, with yew hedging, sumptuous mixed borders and sunken rose garden, make a spectacular backdrop for wedding photography and alfresco receptions.

For larger weddings, a marquee can be accommodated on the formal lawns.

Impress clients and inspire staff by entertaining them at this elegant and stylish venue.

From exclusive dinners and champagne receptions in the Great Hall, to cooking demonstrations and wine tastings in the Victorian kitchen, Hill of Tarvit is perfect for any occasion.

Within the extensive grounds, guests can enjoy a round of traditional hickory golf, a game of croquet and a variety of team-building activities, or simply explore the gardens and surrounding estate, followed by a relaxing drink on the south-facing terrace.
