Event: Whittling with Will

Join Will Hall, Naturalist, who will teach you how to whittle wood!

Learn a new skill and craft - whittling with wood.


Whittling, or wood carving, is fun and creative. It's a great way to introduce kids to safe knife skills. And with the right know-how and grown-up supervision, there's no need for it to be risky so come along and find out from an expert in a natural setting.

Please be at the front of the Castle 10 minutes before the event begins.

What is the recommended ages for this session?

For safety reasons, this activity is for children aged 13 and over however all children must be accompanied by an adult.


Do all participants require a ticket?

If you are wanting to learn whittling you must pay a ticket. All children should be accompanied by an adult, however they do not have to pay if only accommpanying


What is your refund policy?

Refunds are only given under exceptional circumstances or if the event is cancelled by the organiser.


Do car parking charges apply?

A car parking charge of £5 per car is in operation at Brodie Castle and Estate. NTS members receive free car parking. If you are interested in find out more about the benefits of NTS membership, please ask a member of staff.


Do we need to bring anything?

Nothing! But please be aware that the event is outside unless particularly bad weather so do dress appropriately in warm clothing, wet weather gear and suitable outdoor shoes.
