Snowdrop festival

The 2024 Snowdrop Festival takes place from Wednesday 14 February until Sunday 18 February.

The snowdrop festival takes places every February at Branklyn, and is the perfect opportunity for visitors to experience the garden during the winter season when it is otherwise closed. During the weekend-long festival you can explore the garden to see the full range of snowdrops, along with many other spring-flowering bulbs, then treat yourself to a hot drink and a delicious homemade scone in the tearoom.

During his time as Head Gardener (2016–22) Jim Jermyn introduced over 200 varieties of snowdrop, which were planted in the garden over several years among swarms of the common snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis. Varieties include ‘The Laird’, ‘Faringdon Double’, ‘Gerard Parker’ and G. elwesii.

There are also tours of the garden, and rare snowdrops for sale.
