Members’ Centres and Friends’ Groups

A group of people stand on a hillside, with a loch far below them in the background.

Interested in connecting with like-minded members of the National Trust for Scotland to maximise the impact of your support of our conservation work across Scotland? Join your local Members’ Centre or Friends’ Group to experience Scotland’s rich heritage through exclusive talks with experts, visits, holidays, and other social and fundraising events.

What are Members’ Centres & Friends’ Groups?

Members’ Centres and Friends’ Groups are supporter groups, run by members for members. They bring together like-minded people to experience and enjoy Scotland’s unique heritage, find out more about the places you care about, while also providing vital financial and ambassadorial support to our charity.

There are 18 supporter groups based across Scotland, and a further 2 in England. The National Trust for Scotland has been supported by these groups for over 40 years, and we are deeply grateful for their continued enthusiasm, commitment and support.

You can join two types of group:

  • Members’ Centres promote our work and raise money for conservation and development projects through all kinds of events, from expert talks and behind-the-scenes tours to relaxing holidays.
  • Friends’ Groups build unique relationships with a single National Trust for Scotland place, and members can get involved through volunteering, organising events and fundraising for the future.

As a conservation charity, we are funded largely by donations. The vital support provided by our Members’ Centres and Friends’ Groups ensures that we can continue to protect Scotland’s special places for years to come.

Please see the download below for a current events listing for all the National Trust for Scotland’s Members’ Centres and Friends’ Groups, and explore our interactive map for their contact information.
