Walks and wildlife

Discover the peaceful surroundings of the Pineapple. This area is home to a rich variety of habitats, supporting many fascinating species.

The grounds have transformed into a haven for wildlife, featuring a tranquil path through woodland. Sycamore trees dominate here, but you’ll also discover Scots pine, Douglas fir and the majestic giant redwood.

You can also enjoy a peaceful walk around the former curling pond, where you may catch a glimpse of the rare great crested newt, palmate newts and common frogs.

Paths are clearly marked and easy to follow, though take care as most are unsurfaced, rutted, and can be muddy in spots.
