The National
Trust for Scotland Foundation USA (NTSF) was established in 2000
as a United States not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization by
a group of US citizen volunteers with a passion for Scotland and
a dedication to the National Trust for Scotland (NTS).
Our goal is to increase the recognition of the
NTS within the United States and to help raise funds to support
specific projects and general operations of the trust. To date,
over $1.2 million in grants has been made in support of the Trust.
- The Crarae Appeal, which helped protect this
beautiful Highland garden
- Renovations to Wemyss House, Charlotte Square
- The NTS’s Georgian townhouse HQ in Edinburgh.
- The J. Paul Getty Trust: the 10th International
Conference of National Trusts, held in Edinburgh in 2003
- The Jeniam Foundation: work at Arduaine Gardens
Numerous smaller gifts and grants (all tax deductible)
have been gratefully received from organizations and individuals
throughout the US.
