    Bannockburn is the battlefield site where the fate of the nation of Scotland was decided when Robert the Bruce and his army defeated the army of Edward II of England on 23 and 24 June 1314. Please note that contrary to the information from VisitScotland, there will not be a re-enactment at Bannockburn in 2009.  MORE>

    Site: all year, daily until dusk.
    Heritage Centre: 1 Mar to 31 Mar, daily 10-5; 1 Apr to 30 Sep, daily 10-5.30 (last entry 4.45); 1 Oct to 31 Oct, daily 10-5.
    Visits outside these dates/times for pre-booked groups by arrangement with property.
