The Education
Department supports learners of all ages who wish to access the
Trust and its resources. In addition we are responsible for the
provision of interpretation at the properties in our care.
Who we are
Four Regional Education Officers, based at each of the Trust's
regional offices, work with NTS staff including countryside rangers
and gardeners to ensure that a high quality educational provision
is available at as many properties as possible. The department
also includes three Interpretive Planners who are based in our
head office in Edinburgh. They are responsible for planning, commissioning
and project managing interpretation for the properties in our
care. Our departmental assistant may be contacted for individual
enquiries.
What we do
The education staff organise special events and resources for
schools, details of which can be found in our Schools Programme.

243 9312. Some of our properties have staff with a particular
responsibility for education and interpretation and most properties
offer a variety of educational opportunities for schools.
Our aim is to make the resources of the Trust
and the expertise of our staff as widely accessible as possible.
Countryside rangers offer environmental educational programmes
and educational visits to our properties are always welcome. Should
you have particular requirements our Education Officers will be
happy to discuss these with you prior to your visit.
