There are over 100 places to be explored all across Scotland, each one unique: enjoy visits to our gardens, afternoons spent immersing yourself in Scotland’s history at castles and battlefields, and adventures up Munros and along beautiful coastlines.

Gift membership includes free parking in our Trust-owned car parks, perfect for exploring Scotland’s countryside and enjoying the vast network of paths and walks at our outdoor places. Each membership includes two car parking stickers.

Your gift recipient will enjoy a subscription to our award-winning magazine, delivered straight to their door three times a year. Every issue is packed full of fascinating stories, inspiring ideas for days out and exclusive news. They’ll also receive a copy of our Members’ Guide, which gives details of all the places in our care.

Membership offers access to places cared for by National Trust organisations around the world with the International National Trusts Organisation (INTO). This includes National Trust properties in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Italy, Ireland, Canada, Australia and more.

When you gift a membership, this support helps us to protect the places in our care and funds important conservation work, so that Scotland’s irreplaceable heritage can be enjoyed by all and protected for future generations.
Membership options
When purchasing a gift membership, you can choose whether the welcome pack is sent to you or directly to the gift recipient. When you buy a gift membership, you will also receive a confirmation email that includes a temporary membership card and car parking pass which can be used immediately.
If you wish to purchase a joint gift membership with yourself as the other named member, please choose one of our standard memberships instead of a gift membership for this option. You’ll still receive a welcome pack to present to the gift recipient.
Please note that a membership starts on the day it is purchased and will run for 365 days. We’re not able to defer the start date of memberships.
