Gladstone’s Land is in Edinburgh city centre, on the Lawnmarket at the top of the Royal Mile.

There is no parking at the property. Free on-street parking is available on St Giles’ Street for Blue Badge holders.

There are no EV charging points immediately near the property but a full list of charging points in Edinburgh can be found via the City of Edinburgh Council website.

The closest train station to Gladstone’s Land is Waverley, situated on Waverley Bridge. We’re just a 5–10 minute walk from the station but please be aware that we’re towards the top of a very steep hill.

The closest bus stops are on the Mound and on George IV Bridge.

Edinburgh Bus Tours stop right outside Gladstone’s Land.

The nearest bike racks are located on the corner of St Giles Street and Lawnmarket.

House

Access to the house is via self-guided visits until 2.30pm (no need to book in advance), and then a guided tour at 3pm (please check availability on our Events tab). Specialist social history tours are also available on certain days at 4pm. See the links for booking guided tours on the Tours highlight page.
