Keep an eye out for the rich variety of animals, birds and insects that live on Burg, including golden eagles, peregrine falcons, red deer, feral goats and (in June) the rare slender Scotch burnet moth. At dawn and dusk, otters may be glimpsed scampering on the shore or diving into the small burns that lead to the sea. Porpoises and basking sharks can sometimes be spotted out to sea.
