Join the Education Team for a guided walk to Rough Island at Rockcliffe.
The walk will have a maximum group size of six people from two households and will be socially distanced.
The walk to the island will be at low tide and you’ll discover the variety of wildlife to be found on the mudflats. You’ll also explore the island and enjoy stunning views from the rocky summit over to the Solway coast and the Lake District hills beyond. You’ll learn about the conservation work that’s carried out at Rockcliffe and Rough Island.

The meeting point for the walk is Rockcliffe Beach, Rockcliffe DG5 4QQ.
Please aim to arrive approx. 15 minutes before the start time.
Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and a waterproof jacket and trousers. Waterproof footwear will also be required. A flask with a hot drink, a snack, binoculars and a camera are also recommended. Please also bring hand sanitiser and/or wipes.
