Fae Folk Festival

Taking place at

Edinburgh & The Lothians

15 Sep

Welcome to the world of the Fae: mythical and ancient beings revered and respected by our ancestors. Considered to be spirits that controlled the natural world, they could be responsible for good things like a successful harvest or bad things like floods and illness.

At this time of year the good Seelie Court of the summer faeries is fading and, as winter approaches, the Unseelie winter court takes control. Dating back hundreds and even thousands of years, faeries have played a huge role in our folklore and certainly aren’t all like the helpful and beautiful fairies invented by the Victorians. Join us at Newhailes to celebrate the Fae folk at our festival.

Discover the wild Scottish Fae folk on our exclusive trail and see if you can spot them all. Head to the Doocot Diner to grab yourself a fairy cake while you browse our range of activities, with everything from afternoon storytelling to the giant-bubble zone – you won’t want to miss this magical weekend!

No booking is required.
