Venue overview

One of the grandest wedding venues in Scotland

Inside Pollok House, civil, religious and humanist wedding ceremonies are held in the Pavilion Library, probably the finest 20th-century library in Scotland. Framed by Ionic columns and adorned by some of Pollok’s most treasured paintings, the Library also houses a Steinway concert grand piano, which can be played to entertain guests and welcome the bride.

From the Library, French doors open on to the elaborate parterre garden, ideal for your wedding photos, celebratory drinks or simply a relaxing stroll before dinner.

Versatile wedding reception options

Depending on the size of your wedding party and the formality of the occasion, Pollok House offers a choice of unique locations for dining:

Dining Room (70 guests) – Located in the western pavilion and within easy access of the Pavilion Library, the Dining Room is elegantly decorated and features masterpieces by Gerrit Malleyn depicting Dutch hunting scenes.

Edwardian Kitchen (60 guests) – Located on the lower ground floor, this bright space retains many of its original features, including gleaming tiled walls, an impressive range and large wooden sideboards. Ideal for both formal and informal celebrations, the restaurant opens on to the Tea Garden where guests can enjoy the evening air and a quiet conversation during the festivities.

Servants’ Hall (60 guests) – Located next to the Edwardian Kitchen, the wonderfully versatile Servants’ Hall is ideal for dining or dancing.

The Edwardian Kitchen and Servants’ Hall together make up the Servants’ Quarters, which offers you the opportunity to extend your party and accommodate up to 120 guests within the house for an evening wedding reception.

Marquee hire

For larger weddings, marquees can be erected in a choice of locations within the beautiful grounds, including the Tea Garden adjacent to the Edwardian Kitchen, or on the front lawn with the house providing a spectacular backdrop.
