Trustee elections 2019

Members voting at the Annual General Meeting
This is your chance to help choose four people who’ll represent our membership and help guide the Trust’s strategic direction.

Anyone who is a member of the Trust as at 11 June 2019 has the right to vote in the ballot.

Four of our current Trustees are completing their terms of office, of whom two are eligible to stand for a second term of office. Elections are being held for all four Trustee vacancies.

To ensure a broad and high level of skills and experience on the Board of Trustees, all applicants for election have been assessed by the Trust’s Nominations Committee. Those whom the Committee concluded have the necessary skills and experience are now proposed for election.

The elections have also been split into the four categories of skills and experience required for the Board of Trustees at this time:

  • Professional built heritage conservation;
  • Natural heritage, wildlife and environment; formal education;
  • Learning and research activities; current visitor experience;
  • Interpretation in heritage or other visitor attractions.

We’re inviting members to vote for one candidate only in each category.

You can find a full list of all candidates standing for election and cast your votes online

There are also voting forms and candidate details inserted in the summer edition of the Trust’s magazine.

The results of the ballot will be announced at the Trust’s 2019 Annual General Meeting, which will be held in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on 21 September. All members are welcome to attend and you can register through our website.
