Hosting helpful holidays

At number 41 on our 100 Ways list is hosting helpful holidays – we’re giving thousands of holidaymakers the chance to have a conservation-filled break in some of Scotland’s most beautiful locations.

Every year thousands of people sign up for our Thistle Camp holidays, devoting their precious time off to helping us protect and care for Scotland’s heritage.

There’s a huge range of experiences on offer, from helping to uncover secrets of the past on archaeological digs, to tending some of Scotland’s most special gardens and removing damaging invasive species from the countryside.
