Depicting the iconic west elevation of the famous Hill House, these cufflinks are a unique celebration of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
These stunning cufflinks are a contemporary piece of jewellery designed exclusively for the National Trust for Scotland by Paula Bolton, inspired by the exterior of the famous Charles Rennie Mackintosh building, The Hill House.
Mackintosh was arguably Scotland’s most famous architect and designer, and The Hill House, built in the early 1900s, stands as a remarkably complete example of his unique vision. The National Trust for Scotland have restored the building to it's former glory, but the external render of the property has not proved watertight.
With the walls gradually become saturated and beginning to crumble, and water now threatening the interior, the National Trust for Scotland have embarked on an ambitious project to save the Hill House so it can be enjoyed for many more generations to come.
