Built Heritage Tartan Lambswool Scarf made by Johnstons of Elgin
A beautifully fringed scarf made from lambswool, featuring an exclusive tartan inspired by an iconic Edinburgh property, Gladstone's Land.
Every tartan tells its own story, and the Trust's Built Heritage Tartan is a combination of rich ochre, tobacco and duck egg blue – colours that can be traced back to the artistry of the unique painted ceilings in Gladstone's Land. It is one of the oldest buildings on the Royal Mile, and was home to wealthy residential and commercial tenants during its heyday.
It's one of six different tartans in the National Trust for Scotland Exclusive Tartans range, a new and exclusive collection inspired by Scotland and the plants, people and places that make up the Trust's work and made by Johnstons of Elgin.
This luxurious scarf is also available in the other exclusive tartans in our range: Built Heritage, Flowers & Gardens, Famous Scots, Landscape & Islands, and Nature & Wildlife.
Made from: 100% lambswool.
Johnstons of Elgin have been creating luxurious textiles on the banks of the River Lossie for over two centuries. They're the only manufacturer in Scotland who manage every stage of their process, from raw materials to finished product.
