some lovely views, rushing streams, cliffs and a
sea journey.
Dollar Glen (and Castle Campbell), Clackmannanshire

Difficulty level
Average fitness required

Dollar Glen is a steep gorge and is quite dramatic. It is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of its geology and wildlife. Try walking up through the glen from Dollar to Castle Campbell. Some parts of the path turn into wooden walkways along the side of the gorge. (Take care when it’s wet.) The walk is quite challenging but you can return by an easier route through the woodland! Castle Campbell is worth a visit (owned by the Trust but cared for by Historic Scotland – there’s an entry charge).
