Plant a Memory

Remember your loved one and protect Scotland’s special places by planting a memory.

Plant a Memory helps you celebrate the life of your loved one whilst remembering them in a special way. You’ll also be helping us to protect the places they loved to visit and explore, which hold fond memories for you and your family.

For a suggested donation of £20, we’ll send a little piece of Scotland for you to plant at home. Your pack of Scottish seeds can flourish in your garden in your loved one’s memory. Thanks to your gift, we’ll be able to nurture more trees, plants and flowers across Scotland’s landscapes in our care.

Plant a memory today

Remember your loved one

You can receive a Plant a Memory pack to remember someone special for yourself, or you can gift a Plant a Memory pack to friends and family.

Each Plant a Memory pack will include:

  • A pack of Scottish seeds to be planted at home in memory of your loved one
  • A Plant a Memory card, which you can either pass to friends and family along with the seed pack, or keep somewhere special for yourself as a reminder that you’ve done something wonderful to celebrate the life of your loved one
  • A letter sharing details about how your Plant a Memory donation will make a difference to the special Scottish places in our care

How it works

  • We ask for a suggested donation of £20. We’ll then send you a Plant a Memory pack in the post within 5 working days.
  • If you’d like more than one Plant a Memory pack, please just add an extra donation of £20 for each pack requested.
  • Please note that your card won’t automatically come personalised – there isn’t a place on the checkout to add your loved one’s name just now. However, if you’d like the Plant a Memory card to be personalised with your loved one’s name, please email Hannah at hennis@nts.org.uk and we’ll make sure to include their name in your pack.
  • You can then plant your seeds at home and keep the card somewhere special. Or you can also send a Plant a Memory pack to someone else, so they can plant the seeds in their loved one’s memory.
  • Your generous support in memory of your loved one will help us with our vital conservation work to protect and nurture Scotland’s countryside and natural landscapes.

How your support will help

Every Plant a Memory donation will help the Trust to look after the many special places in our care, which hold precious memories for so many people, now and in the future.

Our coastlines, countryside and gardens are some of the places that make Scotland unique, offering an escape from everyday life and providing a chance to share experiences with friends and family. We want to protect these places, so that more people can visit and make long-lasting memories together. By celebrating the life of your loved one in this way, you’ll be helping our charity to continue our conservation work at these extraordinary places.

Our rangers, countryside teams and gardeners work tirelessly all year round to ensure our places are given the care and attention they need. Your support means that they can keep protecting our outdoor spaces, so that they can be experienced and enjoyed for generations to come.

And don’t forget …

If you’d like us to include your loved one’s name in your Plant a Memory pack or would like additional packs sent to you, please email Hannah on hennis@nts.org.uk. Alternatively, you can make more than one suggested donation and we’ll know how many packs you’d like from the value of your gift.

Please note that we can only send our Scottish seeds to UK addresses.
