Help us protect the bard’s legacy this Burns Night

Robert Burns is Scotland’s National Bard, and his poetry and songs are known and loved the world over.

The best place to get close to Burns and his genius is his birthplace: the beautiful village of Alloway. Here you can discover our Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, which houses over 5,000 artefacts including handwritten manuscripts by the bard. You can walk through the village, discovering the thatched cottage where Burns was born, the kirk that inspired Tam o’ Shanter, Brig o’ Doon and the Burns Monument.

We look after many aspects of Burns’s legacy but we can only do this with your support. As a charity, we rely on voluntary income to protect Scotland’s past, ensuring it can be enjoyed both today and tomorrow. With your help, we can ensure that Robert Burns continues to inspire people from all over the world and connect them with his Scottish heritage. Please donate today.
