Additional Information

Kintail

Dipper are one of the few species of smaller birds which remain in our uplands all year. Even in winter they can be found dipping in and out of ice cold streams and rivers feeding on aquatic invertebrates.

Their song brings a note of cheer to our otherwise quiet hills in late winter as they get ready to breed. This bird enjoys the fresh, crystal clear waters of the River Croe, Kintail.
