Additional Information

Grey Mare's Tail

This footage of a Buzzard was shot on March 24th, just after many small birds such as meadow pipits and skylarks had returned to the uplands for the season. The Buzzard has most likely caught one of these new arrivals off-guard as it soared over the moorland. The clips show the Buzzard plucking its prey in mid-air and then latterly juggling it between its talons.

All footage was filmed and edited by the Grey Mare's Tail Ranger Service.
