Killiecrankie, Perthshire

Difficulty level
Average fitness required

The Pass is renowned for its beauty, wildlife and history. The woods, set beside the River Garry, are a remnant of the ancient woodland that once covered most of Perthshire. Check out the Jacobite battle that was fought here in 1689 – and marvel at the Soldier’s Leap. (And listen to the folk song Braes of Killiecrankie.)
There’s a Trust visitor centre with parking.
